A leader is an influencer, the ability to influence means being the salt and light of the world.

Did you know?

Did you know that you are the leader we have been looking for today? Do you know that you are the answer in this generation? Have you not heard that you are the great leader of our time? I know some of you are screaming a silent NO and looking around to see if I am talking about your neighbor.

Look, no further I am talking about YOU, today’s leader divinely created in this generation in this nation for a time like this. I heard this from my mentor 15 years back.

He continued “At such a time where immorality is at its peak, massive poverty & disease burden, astonishing corruption, unemployment, hunger & starvation, sexual perversion, family breakdown, religious & political insanity, injustice, despicable infrastructure, broad day robbery, child sacrifice, wars, unbelievable violence and many more.

We are in an era that is in dire need of people who can be answers to the challenges of our time. Who will not wait for others but will offer themselves as part of the answers? Will, you be the one…?

This profoundly challenged me and I heard a world of loud cries for us to be involved to stand up as leaders of the moment. New problems require new answers, change requires new methods of doing things. We can’t wait for heaven to flood us with answers because we are the answers. Today I have a heart cry that you can rise up as the leader you are.

Gen 1:26-28 God says “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness …” The Ultimate leader God created us in his image for a leadership role of fruitfulness, multiplication, replenishing the earth, and subduing it vs. 28.

To him many have not understood this role and what do we see a generation of well able people, who see nothing they can offer until they drop dead, those who have all it takes to be part of creation and they create not, those who have what it takes to do something but do nothing, many in their prime years wasting away, tears of hopelessness flowing to nowhere, minds never used to capacity, talents never realized, potential untouched and dreams never dreamt. But its time to stand up as the leader you are, take your position and make the future desirable now.

So, do you want to be part of this; look no further start where you are NOW! David was sent to his brothers to take an ephah of dried grain, loaves of bread, and cheese to his brothers and their captain. When he arrived there he found this scene“…all the men of Israel when they saw the man, they fled from him and were dreadfully afraid” I Samuel 17: 24.

Is this scene familiar where you are? You can be like David, he knew the cry of the moment, he immediately offered himself as an answer to the rebuke of his brothers and he replied “is there not a cause? He went ahead to defeat Goliath and saved the Israelites from the Philistines. Today your community is in dire need of leaders of the moment will you avail yourself? Will you stand up as a leader who will not wait for things to happen but who will make things happen? Psalms 11:3 says when the foundations are being broken what will the righteous do?

But I am only one, what can I probably do? You might be wondering, I want to share with you the prayer of Edward Everett Hale;

“I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do that something I can do, what I can do, I ought to do, and what I ought to do, with God’s help, I will do”

The crying need of the moment is leadership, will you stand up, and will you avail yourself. May God direct you as you find your voice of influence to be counted.
