As I sit watching through the window, people and cars passing by;

As I ponder about all the forgotten promises and expectations buried within each soul;

As I brood over all I have said to do and done not;

As I wonder over the broken souls as a result of my YES;

I know I have made many promises which I never fulfilled,

I know I have said YES while my heart was bleeding for a NO,

I know I have made a child think adults are liars,

I know I have done many things without my conscience or respect

I know I have sold and enslaved my soul

But now I know the freedom of my soul lies in the power to say NO;

I also know that I have the power to choose to say YES while meaning YES and say NO while meaning NO,

I had the power to say NO all along but of course, now I have the power to say NO

Still, I know I can choose the radar of my life rather than people and the world choosing for me

I now know I am no longer a slave but free and free indeed in Christ Jesus.
